Today, there are several different types of stoves, gas stoves that run on LPG or natural gas, wood stoves that use firewood as fuel and ethanol stoves that use bioethanol. Of these three different varieties, only bioethanol stoves do not require a chimney because they do not emit any smoke, odor or soot. The combustion of bioethanol is very clean and the only by-products created during combustion are water and carbon dioxide. Bioethanol is created from residues from cereals and corn. Ethanol stoves are equipped with a burner that is different in size depending on the type of model. Of our smaller stoves, they are equipped with a burner of 1.5 liters and can be placed in small rooms. Of our larger models, we recommend that you place them in larger rooms or rooms that have good ventilation.
Installing an ethanol stove is in most cases very simple, the installation of a freestanding stove takes a few minutes, but the hardest part is unpacking the stove from the packaging. Both table stoves and freestanding stoves are in most cases very easy to assemble, while wall stoves can be a little more difficult. With wall stoves, it is important to first put up the wall bracket on the wall if the model is equipped with such. Some stoves do not have any wall brackets but must be placed directly on the wall and then it is very important that the dimensions are correct to get the stove up in the best place.
All of our models include a manual and a description of how to install or assemble your stove.
Several customers wonder how much heat an ethanol stove emits and what is the cost per kWh. On the smaller stoves with a burner of 1.5 liters, the maximum power is about 3 kW, which can be compared with one element. Large burners that hold 3 liters have a maximum power of about 6 kW, which is double that of the smaller ones. You get higher flames and they consume twice as much fuel. Almost all our ethanol burners can be set down so you get less flames and the hourly cost goes down.
With the right fuel, you will get yellow stylish flames that create an incredibly cozy atmosphere in your living room or home.
Important things to keep in mind when using an ethanol stove
Wipe up any fuel you waste.
Do not put things in front of or on the fire that are flammable and preferably do not put things directly on the fire.
DO NOT FILL WITH FUEL WHEN THE BURNER IS HOT OR BURNING. It's like pouring lighter fluid on the grill when it's burning full, though bioethanol is more flammable than lighter fluid. Feel free to wait about 20 minutes after the fire has gone out until you fill up with more fuel.
Feel free to use a long lighter.
